Trek’s all-new Checkpoint+ SL brings electric power to gravel riding
Trek just launched its first dedicated electric gravel bike, the Checkpoint+ SL. It retains the riding DNA of the original Checkpoint while adding a lightweight, natural-feeling electric assist that amplifies exploration without altering the essence of gravel riding.

Quiet, light, natural-feeling assist
The Checkpoint+ SL uses the new TQ HPR60 motor. It’s lighter and whisper-quiet, delivering discreet assistance up to 28 mph so hills and headwinds lose their intimidation. The motor boosts cadence and momentum with a natural ride feel rather than a heavy e-bike shove.
Range built for detours
A 360 Wh internal battery delivers up to 50 miles in eco mode. Riders who want longer days can add an optional Range Extender to extend their mileage further. Real-world range will vary by rider, route, and terrain.
Built for rough roads and long days
The Checkpoint+ SL handles raw gravel with confidence. It offers 50 mm tire clearance, dropper post compatibility, and a suspension fork on all sizes except XS for smoothing rougher lines. IsoSpeed technology and Gravel Endurance geometry prioritize all-day comfort, and a 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame keeps overall weight low.
Pack it, rowdy it, or keep it clean.
Mounting options include an Adventure Triangle Bag, Adventure Frame Bag, and a rack, so the bike works for bikepacking runs or daily commutes. Choose the Checkpoint+ SL 7 AXS for a rowdy, more forgiving ride with a 40 mm RockShox Rudy suspension fork, or pick the rigid-fork Checkpoint+ SL 5 or 6 AXS for lightweight, efficient days in the saddle.
Availability and media contact
Checkpoint+ SL is available now through select Trek retailers and online at trekbikes.com. Pricing starts at $5999.
