Enduro Bearings Fat Bike

Enduro Bearings Fatbike

Enduro Bearings on my fat bike are the upgrade you probably wouldn’t notice unless I showed you. The bombproof XD-15s (MSRP $300) will probably outlast the bike. In the most extreme conditions, they stay smooth.

That’s because of how well they’re made. Bottom brackets take a lot of abuse in the snow. The spray from the front tire alone will kill a lesser bottom bracket. Enduro has refined their designs since 1996. The XD-15 is a set and forget it, even when riding into the abyss like the photo below.

What I learned from Enduro is that the XD-15 bottom brackets are manufactured to the highest standards at the Enduro Bearings production facility in California, USA. They were also developed for Airbus wings where they will not get service through deicing, changing temps, and pressures. I’m not riding anything that extreme, but still.

The bearings combine corrosion-proof, cryogenically treated nitrogen steel races with Silicon Nitride Grade 3 ceramic balls in a proprietary process that results in the ultimate high performance bearing setup.

Enduro told me they get better with age pedal after pedal stroke. I don’t think they’re exaggerating.
