Snow Biking with Gore Wear

I went snow biking with Gore Wear yesterday. And, while the conditions were not great for the first ride in the snow with my new fatbike, my gear certainly was. An unusual amount of powder followed by freezing rain has given the groomers lots to do. I ventured out to give it a go and cut the ride short. In 20-degree temperatures, I was as comfortable as wearing sweats around the cabin. Gore sent me the latest from their Infinium line. The line combines stretch, insulation, seam taping, and reflectivity.

Gore Wear Infinium includes jerseys, tights, and jackets.

The C5 Thermo Bib Tights feature DWR and Windstopper in the crotch area. The softshell jacket combines wind protection and light insulation. It’s also water-resistant, highly breathable, and reflective.

To the point of, once I was finished riding through what felt like wet concrete and worked up a sweat, I did not have to change immediately afterward.

Finished the ride and rode up the driveway to the cabin.

I also had on the C5 Thermo gloves and booties. I wore a short sleeve base layer under a Windstopper long sleeve shirt. In worse conditions, I’ll add another thermal layer under the jacket.

Remember to mix and match Gore gear. They have liners, socks, and booties. What I’m wearing while fat biking this winter:
