I’ve been traveling, haven’t raced in a month, and just partied for 2 days in Vegas with these people
perfect prep for SSCXWC sure, but racing against competitiors like this and any equipment advantage will help and I don’t have a pony. Always wanted a pony.

Mick Walsh is one of the nice-guys of the Seattle area elite races. Byron and I have raced against him for years. I’ve seen some pics of Mick from “back in the day” in Ireland, but is how I know him:

Anyway - stumbled across an article about Mick today in IrishCycling.com. Check out the other names listed as his contemporaries, “Martin Earley, Paul Kimmage…Sean Kelly”. Keep scrolling and you find this gem of a photo from the podium of the 1985 Milk Ras.
Amazing. Mick (right) on the podium with 2 of the greatest cyclists of the 1980s.
