Outdoor City USA This Weekend

Outdoor City USA

I’ll be in Bend this weekend. I’m here to ride bikes and attend Outdoor City USA. That’s a a new event promoting inclusivity in the outdoors while more closely connecting enthusiasts with the brands they love.

A highlight of the event is Redline, a just-opened black diamond jump trail berms, jumps, rollers, and table tops. Built by Dirt Mechanics, professional downhill mountain biker Kyle Jameson, and the dedicated Mt. Bachelor Bike Park crew, Redline trail utilizes the natural terrain under Red Chair to create a rad lift-served downhill trail in Oregon.

The Mt. Bachelor Bike Park, where Outdoor City USA is being held, features 13 miles of machine built and singletrack downhill trails for all ability levels. Redline is 1.4-miles of flow trail for advanced/expert riders.

An Event for Everyone

I was in Bend just last month with Sony. It’s great to be back for more. The event schedule is jam packed for Outdoor City USA and my general plan is to ride a ton and take photos. Beverly Lucas, the founder of the event created it to

…build something bigger and more all-embracing, a venue where people from all walks of life and outdoor disciplines could come together and enjoy this incredible playground. That meant more than races. For sure there would be racing, but also all kinds of competitive, enthusiast, recreational and hands-on learning events. And frankly, I was tired of seeing events where women and kids were mostly relegated to “hangers-on” status.

Above all for me, the event fills in where PressCamp and Interbike were in my schedule.
