A Citibike Helmet

Not sure how LEDs on a helmet instead of your wrist or in a HUD where you can see them will help you navigate to a nearby bike share station in NYC, but expect more projects like the Citibike Helmet from Adafruit will follow. In London, after Boris Bikes launched, a resurgence in builders and bike culture followed. Programmable lights on a helmet are as interesting as those on wheels. Maybe a brightly-lit, bike share helmet would say, “follow me to the next station, eat at joes, or even there’s a deal at a bike shop near you.” Earlier this year at SXSW, Matt Richardson showed us a bike that projects.
