Laek House Drops New Shirts and Rims

user-pic

1986GANGfnl.jpg

I’ve got a few killer Laek House shirts in my collection, and now the company’s released a few more shirts. I’m fond of this 1986 shirt bike myself, if anyone’s looking to get me anything for a stocking stuffer.

They’ve also just hipped us to a project they do with Velocity rims (another favorite of mine) with a black finish that’s super-reflective when illuminated, which you can see in the video. Great looking rims (ghetto looking website.)

Free is my favorite price and t-shirts are my favorite item of clothing. Combine free with t-shirts and you’ve got a winner. The Pedal Pushers, who make some killer bike t’s are giving away a free shirt a day until Christmas on their Facebook page.

And while you’re suiting up, how about completing the look with one of our new cycling caps?

MPG - Infinity

user-pic

I’ve seen a couple of these shirts around lately and I love the message. There have been a couple articles that try to quantify the actual mileage of a cyclist - most put it around 800-1000 miles per gallon equivalent. Not infinity, but still pretty darn good!

Amazon 2.0

The NY Times published an article today about Fulfillment by Amazon and how Amazon is developing other ways to make money. I’m quoted with other merchants in the article about how well the program is working. We use FBA to fulfill Clip-n-Seals and hopefully soon our Bike Hugger shirts.

Both of those products have done well from Bike Hugger traffic and we’ve got more products on the way.

Women Shirts

user-pic

Finally, the Bike Hugger shirts for women are in. We got ‘em just in time to outfit Team Bike Hugger at Redlands and they’re on sale now. You can purchase directly from us via Paypal or from Amazon.com.

Girl shirts delayed

user-pic

Well … the Hugga Tees in girls and women sizes didn’t turn out so good — ugly in fact, so we’re delaying them until we can get it right.

We should have the next run in a week or so and what to do with all those defective tees? Shop rags!

Shirts For Girls

user-pic

By request, we’ve got Bike Hugger tees in girls sizes and will have them next week, just in time for your spring fashion collection! We’re also restocked on all sizes after selling out twice — you can order directly from us, shipped from Hugger Industries HQ, or from our friends at Amazon.

Hipster in a Hugger Shirt

Hugger Shirt Scott, our hip designer and brand manager, took this self portrait with a camera phone while biking to the store in a Hugger tshirt.

Nice. Those shirts will be showing up all over P-town, in Vegas for Interbike, and later this year San Fran and Girona, Spain.

We’ve also got a Canadian Contingent wearing them. Hello Canadians!

Coudal's Fresh Signals

Our new t-shirt release made the “Fresh Signals” sidebar at the Coudal Partners weblog, a chronicler of good design.

Made us feel so good we wanted to share the love, so here's a link to another great bike t-shirt, this one from Threadless: It's “Infinity MPG”.

Shirts are shipping

Hugga ShirtsThe shirts are now shipping and after wearing mine for the day, I can say that they’re fan-freakin’-tastic! Check our gallery for photos of the shirts and our purchase page has been updated.

What’s really nice is that the logo is blended well into the shirt, looking pre-washed, comfortable and very hugga.

Bike Hugger Shirts Update

user-pic

The shirts have arrived, are being printed, and should be ready to ship on Monday of next week (8/14/06). Those that have pre-ordered are in the queue first and we’re excited here to start wearing them ourselves!

You can purchase the shirts from Paypal or our Amazon store. If neither of those work, you can also contact us directly and we’ll take your order over the phone.

Bike Hugger Shirts

hugga shirts By popular demand, we’ve got shirts being printed and they’ll be available soon. I know I’ve wanted one and will wear it off the bike, at races, events, and everywhere else.

The response to Bike Hugger has been great, better than expected, and we appreciate it. Here’s an example from Winky

I love this — in fact I love it so much I want to buy t shirts. Isn’t that the ultimate show of loving something creative and idealists — turning it into a retail experience.

Considering a retail experience, if the shirts sell well (and I think they will), we’ve got a whole line in mind, as well as schwag. If you’re interested in a shirt, post a comment and we’ll get them to you first.

Going into the Fall and the next cycling season, we’ll sponsor a women’s cycling team and you’ll see us at more events. Look for even more Bike Hugger.

Update

Preorder a Bike Hugger Shirt from our Amazon.com store. They’ll be ready to ship in about 2 weeks.
