As schwag goes, that's damn good -- from Princeton Tec, Internet Explorer 8, and more. Giving all that away today at the Mobile Social Seattle. Also a Yuba Mundo cargo bike.

For the Mobile Socials at An Event Apart and WebVisions next month, Princeton Tec sent us a box of light love. We're giving all those lights away . . . also giving away a Yuba Mundo and a Breezer city bike.

Got these shades in an IE8 schwag bag and have adopted them temporarily as my “Vegas Look.” Got me thinking, what’s the coolest or in contrast stupidest schwag you’ve ever got? For me, Mavic has the best clothes giveaways in the business.

Today we launched Bike Hugger @Interbike, a blog just for the bike industry’s big show. As previously posted, we’ll be in the media center, on the floor, blogging it all, and hoping for some serious schwag. And not the schwag you leave behind in the room, but the kind like with Eddy Merckx’s autograph! Oh yeah.

Having just ridden Bettie (reports to follow), our project bike, I’ll want to meet all the component manufacturers and talk about what it’s like to ride a commuter that looks like it rolled off the set of Mad Max.

By popular demand, we’ve got shirts being printed and they’ll be available soon. I know I’ve wanted one and will wear it off the bike, at races, events, and everywhere else.

The response to Bike Hugger has been great, better than expected, and we appreciate it. Here’s an example from Winky

I love this — in fact I love it so much I want to buy t shirts. Isn’t that the ultimate show of loving something creative and idealists — turning it into a retail experience.
