It was in 2013, I picked up the story of Felix Guirola who’s working on building the world’s tallest bike. He’s back in the news again with another Miami Herald story and with help from Richie Trimble who built a record-setting, 20-foot tall bike in the US.
With an open spot on his calendar, Trimble left Tuesday for a 2-1/2 week trip to Havana. He decided not only that he and Guirola would ride tallbikes together, but that they would work on Guirola’s dream bike. Trimble had his first meeting with Guirola on Wednesday.
Their goal is a 10-meter bike (32 feet, 9.7 inches).
