The Giro ends today on the streets of Rome. We rode there last year on the same streets, spotted a fixed or two. Those are some crazy, winding streets, and more churches than you’ve ever seen.

I walked a good part of the route last weekend. It’s probably a bit different than when you are there—the street to the Colosseum in that photo, and one other, are probably still set up with tents and bleachers from the Champions League Festival earlier in the week.
How’s the air quality this time of year?
Surprisingly decent. I had none of the typical complaints about Rome, though the heat was something else.
