Urban Bikes in the NYTimes

Can urban bikes get anymore hip than a fashion feature in the NYTimes? That’s a Skeppshult Ladies Promenade with the basket option.

The industry people I’ve been talking to are saying the same thing about fixies! The market has taken many by surprise and at that price the Skeppshult must not be an asian-made dutch bike clone, like Electra’s model.

I have the Skeppshult ‘Womens Natur’, and can confirm they are indeed not asian-made dutch bike clones, but lovingly hand-made Swedish bikes! Quite heavy to ride, but definitely built to last!
