They get going really fast at 1:11 when the lead pulls off. Hope we’ll see more of this during the Olympics. They won’t allow cameras on bikes or helmets in competition, but this training ride gives you an indication of how fast they’re going on a banked, wooden track.

I really wish they would allow on-board camera’s on bike races. I think the perspective of being in the race would make spectating on TV that much more exciting. The general public just doesnt have the same sense of excitement towards bike racing as people who haved raced.
