Take your Tallbike to Rwanda

Tallbike_Race.jpg Dude from Minneapolis builds a tallbike. A collapsing tallbike. He boxes it up, and takes it to Rwanda. While there he hooks up with Tom Ritchey, races his extremely tall singlespeed in the wooden bike classic, and helps the Rwandan coffee farmers get better prices for their coffee by distributing longtail bikes and microloans.

Scallywags in Minneapolis is wonderful:  They operate a bicycle repair shop staffed with volunteer workers to make money to fund their Rwanda coffee bike operation and to enable their Christian ministry to the folks in Rwanda..

A good Christian outfit!  (‘though for some reason they don’t seem to mention their ministry on their web site: <a href=“http://www.scallywagsbikeshop.blogspot.com/” rel=“nofollow”>http://www.scallywagsbikeshop.blogspot.com/</a> and <a href=“http://www.scallywagsmpls.org/” rel=“nofollow”>http://www.scallywagsmpls.org/</a> )

Scallywags is a “base” of Steiger International: <a href=“http://steiger.org/bases_minneapolis.htm” rel=“nofollow”>http://steiger.org/bases_minneapolis.htm</a>

Truly inspiring.

Still, a bit odd that the Scallywag bike shop hides their lamp under a basket, so to speak.

We will be launching new website(s) very very soon that will be explaining our faith and ministry.  The blog has been a temp while we get our stuff together.  Stay tuned and you can read about our values and purpose…blogs are not necessarily set up for that.
