Ride_Around_Seattle.png Reminder: today is our monthly RideCivil event. We’ll gather between 5:30 and 6:15 at Westlake Center park, then have a socially paced, unscripted group ride through down town with a focus on fun, safety and civility between all road users.

We’ve received a lot of attention this month, including some help hosting our own site (the blog’s coming, I swear!), some artwork, and even some press on KUOW. Special thanks to the folks making it happen. Speaking of, come on down and make it happen this evening. Hope to see you there!

I wasn’t able to attend tonight, but heard that all the local TV channels were their covering the ride.

I was there and didn’t see so much as two bikes together as if forming a group, nor anybody riding as a group.

Bucko not withstanding (Sorry, Bucko, I can’t imagine how you missed us) we had about 30 riders show up tonight, as well as Kiro and King5, TV coverage.

I’ll have a more comprehensive post later, but we had a great ride, and a great group. We got split between lights on several occasions, but always managed to get it back together. We got in a good hour and a half of smiling and waving, completely incident free, and ended up down at the S. Lake Union block party to catch the end of the Aqualung performance.
