Everyone knows you can’t travel with a cargo bike… Right?
This bakfiet’esque cargo bike made by David Wilson Industries, is not only significantly lighter than a dutch cargo bike, it has an S&S Coupler. This enables you to stuff it in a standard bike travel case. The owner of this bike has peddled Washington, Florida and many points in between. The best part? He’s never at a loss, for a place to stow his half rack of beer. Sounds like bike Nirvana to me.

I love this bike. I haul everything from my video/photo gear and groceries to three full size oak palattes. Not much beer though…mostly vodka.

How did you address the “bizarro ride of the bakfiets?” I mean those bikes are meant to take product to market and back, not intended to tour. Or say deliver pizza.
I think the reason we go for these cargo bike rides is to simply raise awareness that you can move a sizable about of necessities on a bike. This of course includes trailers and any sort of rack you can get on a bike.
As to touring we have been talking about taking the cargo bikes up the John Wayne Trail.
