Good Morning Vietnam

The Novara crew is in Vietnam and Steve Gluckman Facebooked this photo. Reminds me of all the various bikes we saw in our Asian travels and a reminder that in other parts of the world, people just ride bikes as transportation.

What do you mean “in other parts of the world?

Many people in this part of the world “just ride bikes as transportation.” I have for the past 35 years!

Excellent.

I’ve been to Vietnam.  Sure some people ride bikes there, maybe even more bikes than cars on the street.  But motorscooters dominate by an unbelievable majority.  I rode out of the center of Hanoi out into the ride paddies, and I was like a Martian vistor in lycra atop my Sycip track bike.  But the people were supercool.
