We were hipped today to Canondale’s new RAW Cannondale, a striking update to the company’s Bad Boy line of urban bikes. C’dale partnered with the “denim brand” G-Star to create a bike with utterly sweet lines and great style.
Disc brakes, internal 8-speed hub, chain cover, no scratch surface integrated-lights–this bike just jumped to the top of my “want” list.
We’ve got a call into Cannondale to check on pricing and availability, but didn’t want to hold back the bike-lust goodness.

I’d put on my Blade Runner outfit to ride that or Steampunk style. The bike requires [Noel](http://www.flickr.com/photos/zeldman/3405250664/) to prep it before each ride.
> “your bicycle is ready for you Mr. Byron” I have adjusted the tire pressure, checked the chain lubrication—the headset is still a bit stiff, but it will do well for you today Sir.
The front suspension is a bit of a downer for me. Why anyone needs suspension on a city bike is beyond me.
They were a 2008 model-year bicycle here in the UK - retail was about £1449 but they got discounted down to £1199 toward the end of the year. A pretty nice piece of kit to be honest - it’s got touches such as the matching Brooks handlebar grips.
Hmmm, a Crack’n fail I’d actually consider buying. What’s this world coming to?
The fenders need work. They look more like a design element than something that would function well. All in all a decent effort from the evil empire.
I’m not sure it actually comes with the fenders. It says on the site, rather cryptically “premounting for fenders” which I think means it has eyelets. I’d set that up with some nice wood fenders.
We [posted on the UrbanDale](http://bikehugger.com/2008/01/urban-cannondale.html) last year as did. Wondering why it popped up again. Is it Stateside now?
I was going to say - isn’t this old news?
I’m more excited about the new Swobo Baxter
Thomas of Bicycle Design noted that you posted on it. I forgot.
