After a few days of early fall rain my folder is filthy. Sure, mounting a front fender would have helped, but I didn’t do that. Instead I have to wash my bike. Belgian Kneewarmers ran a great set of tips for all late/early season cyclists on just this topic: Strong enough for a cyclocross Hard(wo)man, gentle enough for… me.

I haven’t yet had the pleasure or lack of pleasure of rain on the folding bike; do the water dynamics behave differently with them little wheels? I’d suppose so.

I can’t say there’s a huge different, except maybe the small wheel doesn’t kick up spray right in your face like with larger 26 or 700c tires. That might account for the incredible amount of dirt on the low-top tube frame.
