Interesting concept. However, it is good to note that the news pice states that the tree is plugged to the city’s AC supply so it continues to stay illuminated even if no one pedals the bikes. It does great brighter if people pedal, but they are not the main source of power.
Correct . . . still cool to see, but not really pedal-powered tree. My guess is that they didn’t want a dark tree between pedals.
