one bike in a line of a thousand scooters
It’s Saturday here in Taipei and this afternoon we’ll see what Josh Hon and his crew have been working on. It’s a new global bike brand and I’ll upload photos and tweet live from the event. Yesterday we visited Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall , and went out to a traditional, beer-drinking, business dinner at the Five-Dime Driftwood restaurant.
As I said on on Twitter

Five-Dime Driftwood, fever-dream aboriginal restaurant put some weird mojo on us.

twisted Taipei art
and think what happened is this 40-foot tall Nicolas Cage got in my head first. A good ride on new bikes should reset the mojo, right as rain.
yeah, my group went there last fall while typhoon megi was rampaging along the eastern coast of taiwan. bev garrety and i went exploring in the closed off sections on the top floors.
that place would be soooooo epic for a rave.
Great dinner with good friends and business people in a Taipei version of a Goudy with cubist, Aboriginal is an odd combination. Entertaining for sure.
