The most aero dog is?

As you’re likely read by now, Spesh built their own Wind Tunnel in Morgan Hill. Having been on campus a few times, we know they got a sense of humor there and in the off hours have either tested kegs v. cases of beer OR dogs. And it’s dogs!

Continuing the joke, made this graphic earlier in the week…Yes, Smithers, #aeroiseverything

and think that little Frenchie we met there would be most aero with a ball diffusing air around a bulky head.

Land’s End to John O’Groats is a classic cycle touring route. But it was also the blue riband distance among the long distance record-breaking heyday of the 1930s to the 1960s. In 1954 Eileen Sheridan, a diminutive cyclist from Coventry sponsored by the huge Hercules Bicycle Company, set a new record that stood for decades. Now 89, Eileen recounts a truly epic journey and tells the story of how she became one of the best-known, and best-paid, cyclists in Britain.

Apology accepted, prosecution expected

After a hit-and-run then a tweet about bloody cyclists and an uproar online, Cycle Tweet girl has apologized on ITV. Feeling sorry or not, according to Carlton Reid she’s facing two criminal offense. I linked to Carlton’s post in mine earlier this week when news of the story first broke.

Made a thing that parses weather data into a bicycle barometer

A cyclist in London wanted to simplify his morning commute decision making between riding bike or taking the Tube. So he made a barometer with an old clock case. A servo moves the needle towards the bike or Tube and is controlled by a nanode controller that derives a value from the web. To take small chunks of information from the Web and display it on a physical thing it’s geeky enough, bonus to incorporate the bike. That’s a bike Maker and something we’d like to see at another Built.

Of the 14K photos we’ve shared over the years and the 3 million views on them, this Trek Soho S Japan tops the stats list. 15K views and it was posted 5 years ago.
