The latest YouTube meme is the Harlem Shake, a video in which a dude dances with a helmet on to dubstep. The groove is so infectious, the room starts gyrating too, harlem shaking, all crazy style.

At 10M views, Harlem Shake v3 (office edition) is one of the funnier ones, cause a bro tries to track stand for 30 seconds and can’t hold it.

If you’re like me, you gotta have music all the time. Except for training and social rides, I almost always have headphones on while riding. Over the past six or seven years my favourite headphone for riding has been the now seemingly discontinued Sony MDR-EX71SL, while for non-riding situations I have Skullcandy products. So when I saw Yurbuds at Interbike last fall, I was keenly interested. Yurbuds rely on a shaped silicon cover (fit “enhancers”) to hold the earbud-style headphones in place. You insert the Yurbud into you ear with a twisting motion and they stay in. Well, I did manage to shake them loose a couple times, but for the most Yurbuds stayed put as promised. Another size of enhancers are included, but I found the pre-installed version worked best for me. That silicon casing is kinda large and feels a bit awkward in my ear though. I didn’t especially care for it while wearing winter cap that covered my ears, though to be fair I have that issue, if slightly less pronounced, with all but the daintiest of earbuds.

Classics with rugged

As seen on Instagram earlier this week, new kicks for this Spring nicknamed Italian Mountain Bike Loafers. Worn with a fine worsted wool suit, of course, and a cap on a Brompton.

That’s just wishful thinking – I’m in manpris and a tee with those and this cap. Those are the Vittoria Shoes Classics with a MBT sole and they asked me to try them out. I worn out the Classics before them and asked for a pair with an all-day insole and a mountain tread. Vittoria’s racing shoe got me back on the bike quicker after the injury and I protected the ankle all winter with their boot. I wear the Classics at events when I’m riding around town and walking around a conference center, like SXSW next month.
